OUR STORY

When special occasions arose in our family, I was fortunate to know how to sew - allowing me to create truly lovely Baptismal and Communion gowns using the finest fabrics and attention to detailing - gowns that could be passed down for generations reminding everyone in the family of the most important days of our lives.  I wanted to offer that same opportunity to those who couldn’t make their own – so Embroidered Heirlooms was born!

One goal of my business has been to design and create First Communion dresses that reflect the innocence of childhood, and the dignity and Holiness of the Sacrament.  My gowns are designed for little girls - not adult women in smaller clothes.

With almost all of my 7 children now grown, I love to take out items from their childhood, reminding me of those sweet days.  I decided to include with every purchase for no extra charge, the option to embroider the name and date of the special occasion on the slip - a written account of who wore the gown and when.  So that when YOUR children take out their gown to show their children, they can see when Mom or Dad wore the gown.

True heirloom quality gowns are made with fine fabrics and trims - silks, linens, and Swiss Batiste with beautiful French and Swiss laces and insertions, and heirloom sewing techniques.  We do not "cut costs" with inferior materials or findings.  Only top of the line fabrics, trims, and buttons are used.  All items are handmade here in St. Louis, MO, USA.
